The Camera Toolbar is made up of seven buttons that allow you to control your various camera inputs, grab, save, print and load images in the viewer. The Camera Toolbar is displayed even when no cameras are loaded into the system. You can perform measurements on saved images without using a camera.
The
Grab button will take a picture from the currently
selected camera. This image can be saved using the Save
button in the Camera toolbar, or you can run a program against that
image.
The
Live button will make the currently selected camera go
live. When this button is selected the live image will be
displayed in the viewer window. Right-click on the Grab
or Live buttons and the Camera Properties edit box will
allow you to configure the camera.
Use
the File button to select which camera you want to use.
Click on the File button to scroll through the available cameras.
Note:
If you have several cameras that use Microsoft Direct Show then they
can all be access through the same number and then switched by using
the Props button.Once a Direct Show camera is selected in the
Props menu you will need to hit the Sel. button to
initialize the camera before it can be used.
The
Record button allows you to record a video stream
and play it back.
The Save button will save the currently grabbed image
to a file. TheLoad button will load an image from
your hard disk into the image viewer so that you can run a program
against it. Right-click on the Save button to view
a drop-down list that will allow you to save the image and overlay.
By choosing the file type .xSL or tSL just the overlay on the image
will be saved. This can be recalled again. The xSL is a editable text
file and so convenient to make external changes. Using the feature
CAD type entities can be created and saved.
